Off to the MTC

We arrived home from Florida to find a message on our voicemail from the MTC. They were calling to tell us to bring a towel and alarm clock with us when we come on Dec. 13. We will be staying right at the MTC property, not at a "Seniors Hotel". It is hard for me to imagine that on Monday we will be starting this new adventure. I am anxious, a little nervous, and fully excited to be serving the Lord. I have thought many times about our children serving a mission and how incredibly proud I was. Now that I am realizing all that it took for them to leave and serve, I realize just what wonderful and strong missionaries they were and what great adults they are. I am not sure that I could have served at 19 or 21 years. Mike has always commented that it was not the best two years of his life, but in looking at his life, it was the very best thing to happen to his life because he learned so many lessons from his mission. I am very proud of all our children and grandchildren and  hope that they will be proud of grandpa and I. We love you very much. So, we now can say, on Monday, we're finally off on the mission!
