The Mission Has Moved

This last week was a busy and very tiring one. We officially packed up the mission office and moved to another location. We had been on the Ogden Temple grounds, located in the tabernacle. Now that the Ogden Temple is closing for a two year renovation, it was necessary to find another permanent location for the mission office. We are now located at 4380 S. Orchard, (we actually are located on Madison Ave.), in South Ogden. Moving is the pitts and I really thinking moving a mission office is double the pitts. But with the help of Baileys movers, the boxes were moved and cubicles were dismantled. After a week of no phones, and limited computer access I can say that we are pretty much back up and running and almost all of the boxes are unpacked. I think we were able to make the move with pretty little disruption to the missionaries, Pres. Olson, or proselyting. Must be the Lord's church. Tuesday is transfer day and the new missionaries will be arriving. I love transfer day and it will be fun to have the missionaries come to the new office building.

Today at church, when I walked in there were about 12 of the missionaries standing in the foyer. Some missionaries were with the Spanish branch that was before our ward, and some was with our ward. It was so neat to walk in and know them all and know what strong testimonies they all have. I believe the church is in good hands with these future leaders. It was exciting in that yesterday Diane and Chris were baptized. They were originally from Ft. Worth, then from Nevada. They are probably in their 50's. One young Elder asked if I was going to the class that Diane was in. I said yes and they said, we now have to hand her off, so she's coming to you Sister Lund. I asked Diane how her baptism was yesterday. She said it was fine, but she said that her confirmation was just absolutely incredible, that she felt the spirit so strong. I asked what brought her to Utah and she commented that she needed a change, was looking for something different in her life, and that she wanted to leave her old life behind. She stated she had no idea that she could be so happy. I had no idea that we would love what we would do as much as we do.
