Every now and then something happens at the mission that just absolutely amazes me. Today, I had one of those incidents. When I opened my email today, there was an email from the Germany Berlin Mission. The email stated that there was an investigator, Judith, who lived in Farmington for awhile and had missionary lessons while here. She had moved to Germany and two missionaries were teaching her and they wanted a copy of her teaching record. Hmmmmmm, who would have taught her. So, I thought about the fact that each companionship has an "area book" that has information about investigators, ward mission leaders, etc. I decided to call a missionary that currently lives in Farmington. This missionary had just injured his femur so I decided I would check on his leg and then ask him if he had any info in his area book. I asked Elder J. how his leg was and he said, "Just fine". I then told him about the email and he said, "Oh, I taught her all the lessons, she attended church and was ready to be baptized but then moved."
I couldn't help believe how this little miracle happened today. Half way around the world, the Berlin mission emailed wondering about a particular investigator in our mission, and it just happened that the one missionary I first contacted happened to be the one that had taught her. Then, by the miracle of the internet, I could share the info with the current missionaries half a world away. It was just amazing to me how the Lord works. The gospel is definitely true and our Heavenly Father is definitely in charge.
Shortly thereafter, the Peru Mission called about something else. I am learning how small the world is and how global our Church is.
