I Love P-Day!

Today is Tuesday and in the Utah Ogden Mission that means it is P-day (Dick and my p-day is Saturday).
And on P-day, missionaries come to the office to pick up mail, visit with other Elders, handle office-type problems they may have and drop by to pick up cleaning supplies and proselyting material. Today, we had about 50 or so missionaries come. It is so much fun to speak with these missionary elders and sisters. I have been working with their names on reports, arrivals, departures, etc. and it is fun to put a name with a face. We have missionaries from Spain, South Africa, Canada (quite a few), Cambodia, Thailand, the Philippines, Germany, Polynesian Islands, New Zealand, Austraia, and other places I can't remember, and oh, yes of course, the United States. It is a kick to hear the accents. I am amazed at all the right choices these folks made to be here serving. Many of the missionaries just have parents that don't care/support them and this mission thing is what they individually are committed too. They are very strong in the gospel. As i have visited with them and told them of my anxieties of taking over Sister Langford's position, they smile and sincerely remark that they know what I am feeling and will pray for me. I want to say thanks for all of your own support you have given me. I have been reminded that I am on the Lord's team and it will all work out. Thanks for the reminder and your prayers. Dick and I are so grateful to be serving.

Next week is transfer week and Sister Langford said that if I can make it through that, the rest will be a breeze. I am still waiting to do two of the same tasks. This calling is certainly a challenge for me.
We love you all. Brother and Sister Lund
